For the second year, the cast of Castle from the television show on ABC, went on to the San Diego Comic Con Exhibit.  Couple months ago, people announced that Marvel and ABC teamed up to create a graphic novel that is Castle based, featuring one of Richard Castle’s main character, Derrick Storm.

As announced, the graphic novel, Deadly Storm, will be out in stores on September 21, 2011, which is the same week as when Season 4 of Castle will be out.  Deadly Storm will be 112 pages long.  This graphic novel will be written by Brian Michael Bendis (author of AvengersUltimate Comics Spider-Man) and Kelly Sue DeConnick (author of Captain America and The Secret Avengers). Lan Medina (author of Fables) will be handling the interior art and Carlo Pagulayan (author of Planet Hulk) will create the cover art.

New Captain of District 12!

In Season 4 of Castle, there’s going to be a new captain lady on the show!

The new captain of District 12 is Penny Johnson Jerald, she is a former actress on the shows, 24, and also on The Larry Sanders Show, according to TVGuide’s team.  Penny Johnson Jerald will be playing as the new captain in the District 12 since Captain Montgomery (Ruben Santiago-Hudson) died in the last episode of Season 3 to save Detective Kate Beckett’s (Stana Katic) life, and was shot to death by one of Beckett’s mother’s killers, Hal Lockwood (guest star, Max Martini).  Detective Javier Espisito (Jon Huertas) and Detective Kevin Ryan (Seamus Dever) did some digging in the last episode of Season 3, and found out the third cop that killed Beckett’s mother, the surprising thing was that the third cop was someone very close and knew them very well.  Captain Montgomery.  To sum it all up, the three cops that killed Beckett’s mother back then were Dick Coonan (guest star, Jay R. Ferguson), Hal Lockwood, and Captain Montgomery.

The new captain, Penny Johnson Jerald, known as “Iron Gates,” she’s also going to be a bit tougher on District 12’s team, especially Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Detective Kate Beckett. “Everybody’s getting along really well in the precinct, and we think there can be a little more conflict,” creator and executive producer, Andrew W. Marlowe, told the TVGuide team in May. “We think it’s interesting to grow Beckett and Castle by having somebody who … may not look as favorably on the Castle-Beckett relationship.”

Johnson is heard to be best known for her work as Sherry Palmer, the ruthless ex-wife of Dennis Haysbert’s President David Palmer on 24.  She also starred on HBO’s, The Larry Sanders Show as Larry’s personal assistant Betsy Barnes and has recurred on such series as Star Trek: Deep Space NineER, October Road and NCIS.
